Adept Building Consultancy have completed surveys on the famous King George VI building for Newcastle University and their contractor Sir Robert McAlpine.

A beautiful listed building situated in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, the King George VI building is set to undergo significant investment into sustainability and environmental improvements as part of the university commitment to a more sustainable property portfolio.

Adept have provided heritage building consultancy services, drone surveys, window surveys, method statements and advice on the refurbishment and maintenance of traditional windows and doors. The survey entailed raised access inspection of over 900 windows in the middle of winter 2023. Faced with heavy rains, snow and strong winds, surveys were completed safely in very challenging conditions.
